Has your love life gone a bit dry lately? The kids always seem to get in the way, stress from work follows you home and kills your mood, and you’re constantly worried about doing chores around the house. The best way to spruce up your love life is to take your wife out on a romantic date. If you’re looking to impress, use one of the following five romantic date ideas to sweep her off her feet.
1. Scavenger Hunt
If you have an entire day free from the stresses of life, set up a scavenger hunt for your wife. Start out by waking up early and leaving a note in bed. Leave the house before she has a chance to talk to you.
The note you leave in bed should contain the first clue. Send her to familiar places, or let her try something new that she’s always wanted to do as part of the hunt. Make sure the the last stop is somewhere romantic and meet her there. Sunset is the best time for dinner, which makes for an especially nice evening. She’ll be giddy that you were so thoughtful.
2. Dinner and Dessert
Sometimes, a simple dinner and dessert is just enough to sweep a lady off her feet. A night out on the town with reservations at her favorite restaurant is sure to be a hit. If you are looking to switch things up, ask friends to recommend a new restaurant. Make sure to leave room for an indulgent dessert. Some light frozen yogurt or chocolate dipped strawberries to go could be a great segue into your romantic evening.
3. Learn to Dance
Literally sweep your wife off her feet by taking her to dance class.
Your wife will be impressed that you’re willing to put forth the effort to learn the Tango or another fun dance. The Tango is an especially great idea because it’s such an intimate dance. After your lesson, take her to a favorite restaurant for a treat.
4. Cheese and Wine
There is nothing like a little cheese and wine to make a girl feel special. If you have a keen sense for what she likes, head to your local cheese shop and pick up a few ounces of her favorite Gouda or Brie. Add a little wine in front of the fireplace and you have yourself one romantic night!
5. Mini Road Trip
If you’re familiar of the area around your town, take your favorite lady on a mini road trip. Going for a drive can make a great romantic date because it gives couples a chance to get away from the stresses of every day life. Make sure you take her to a place you both enjoy or a location with a great view,
When both partners lead busy lives, it’s very important to set aside time to spend alone together. Whether you spend that alone time at home or out on the town, make sure you get at least two hours per week without the kids.
